Good listening skills are a very important function in all medical assistant training jobs. Most likely you will be taking patient history and it must be accurately recorded on their chart. You also may be taking vital signs and that, too, must be correct. Listening to patient’s concerns and answering some of their questions is something that you will be doing daily. You must be able to accurately interpret what they are saying and convey that information to the doctor.
