Monday Jun 22, 2009

There are many medical assistant jobs in New Jersey available for people today. If you are only interested in working on the office assistant side of the medical field, you will only be required to have a high school diploma as well as a one-year certification available from your local vocational school. If you wish to have more contact with the patient, you will be required to earn a 2 year associates degree from a community college. Upon completion of this degree, you will have the ability to draw a patient’s blood and give them certain injections as well as more mundane tasks such as checking their blood pressure, height and weight. For the office end of the medical field, you can expect to earn around $24,000/year. The salary will increase with the more medical training you receive as well as how much interaction with the patient you generally have.
